My First Artshow Showcasing My Photography
What a show. Wow. Amazing. So so amazing. Major success & a great opportunity to get my photographs printed, matted, and shown to other artists, creatives, & the community.
And like all great things- it flew right by!
Being apart of this creative community is rewarding, exciting and also a lot of hard work.
How did I get this awesome gig you may ask?? Well, I received an email one early January morning from a recruiter from RAW Artists that seemed more legit than most. I get a lot of e-mails and DM's that are obviously not the right fit. Some are completely bogus, some are fake, and some are bait & switch. This one had good vibes. So I checked out their website and emailed them back. After a few emails later I decided this WAS a great fit, and I saw only gain from it. Their one hook was to sell 20 tickets so I can showcase for free. If I sell less I pay that balance, and if I sell more, I get to keep 50% of that ticket sold. I was convinced I could do it.
AND I DID!!
I was thee artist with the most tickets sold for this event and that is all THANKs to YOU FRIENDS & FAMILY & FANS for helping me make it to the top! After hearing that I felt so humble and grateful and absolutely ecstatic.
So, if your wondering why this would conclude as my week 8 of 52 is because once I got the prints matted I set up a photoshoot to get them inventoried and to sell them here on the website!
PLUS. Now I have inventory of prints of my work that I have been wanting for years but never had the means, patience, (and honestly) the how and why. Printing photography to showcase is a lot of work. Figuring out which photographs to showcase is not even half of it.
(Even though that was a major-big-huge ordeal)

Also, RAW Artists did a cool thing for us artists, we got professional headshots!
Being a photographer I am way more comfortable behind the lens but hey, I think they look ok.
Thanks again for all your support. I am so blessed & feel the love.
